Restaurant Options for the  PlantDiego “Stay Healthy San Diego” WFPB Challenge
We are super excited to have the support of many of our local vegan restaurants! When you eat out please try to support them and check the list below and/or use your new ordering skills (from the article in our first week’s message) to find something healthy and delicious to eat!

Anthem Vegan  Farmer’s Markets

  • Potato Zucchini Tacos w fresh Pico (hold the chipotle sauce – it contains oils) 
  • Sub zucchini for faux meat in Breakfast Hash on weekend mornings

California Homemades  (90% organic!) – Escondido

Greens Please – Poway

A note from the restaurant: We strive to source local and organic ingredients as much as possible! And nearly all items qualify for the challenge – we are nut free, gluten free. Most of the food is compliant! Some examples include:

Green Smoothies: All blends include at least 6 types of dark leafy greens which includes: up to three types of kale, chard or collard greens, green leaf lettuce or bok choy, dandelion greens, parsley, purslane (market availability), lambs quarter or stinging nettle (market availability)), chia seed, flax seed, kelp and alkalized water. Here are some examples:

  • Triple Berry Threat Smoothie – Our signature dark leafy greens, strawberry, blackberry, hibiscus, apple, banana, and organic unfiltered apple juice provide a healthy taste of San Diego summer all year round.
  • Green-YA Colada Smoothie – A customer favorite: Signature dark leafy greens, coconut milk, pineapple, apple, banana, and unfiltered apple juice are a party for your tastebuds! 
  • Cocoa Dream Smoothie – One of our meal replacement smoothies, the Cocoa dream starts with the GreensPlease signature blend of dark leafy greens,  dreamy 100% dark chocolate (cacao), carob, apple, banana, hemp, chia, flax, coconut milk and unfiltered apple juice, for a filling blend that tastes decadent, while nourishing the body with superfoods.

Hot Foods: Healthy eats made in-house with fresh, natural, organic ingredients. All of our delicious bowls include signature dark leafy greens, microgreens, and quinoa, both of which we serve up Greens Please style, infused with a superfood blend of turmeric and black pepper.  Pair with a green smoothie for a satisfying light meal.

  • Baja Bowl – A vegan fiesta for your health, this customer favorite includes house-roasted organic red bell peppers and a superfood cilantro sauce. 
  • Poway Bowl – Has a little of everything (from our “global” selections of Baja, Mediterranean, Asian bowls) including our mouthwatering ranch beans and Asian garlic turmeric mushrooms.  Globetrotting never tasted so good!
  • Soups and Salads – All of our delicious salads to go include fresh seasonal greens, house-made sauces and dressings, and a side of quinoa.

Loving Hut – El Cajon Blvd

  • Green Garden Salad, medium or large  Organic mix of lettuce, carrots, bell peppers, purple cabbage, cucumber, avocado, and garbanzo beans with a homemade dressing
  • Heavenly Salad  Shredded cabbage, carrots, onions, bell pepper, tofu, soy protein, mint, and peanuts with homemade sweet & sour sauce

Loving Hut – Mira Mesa

  • Heavenly Salad  Shredded cabbage, carrots, onions, bell pepper, tofu, soy protein, mint, and peanuts with homemade sweet  & sour sauce

Peace Pies – Encinitas and Ocean Beach

  • Nori Nirvana – Avocado and fresh veggies wrapped in a nori, served with teriyaki sauce (coconut amino option for sauce as well
  • Magical Mango Curry Wrap – Mango, avocado, mixed veggies wrapped in a curry coconut tortilla, served with coconut curry sauce.
  • Mushroom Stroganoff – Kelp noodles tossed in a creamy alfredo sauce with “sautéed” mushroom & onions, sprinkled with fresh parsley.
